1,2 miss a few 99,100!

Ok so the D minus count down was ok in theory but then came the stress of the last few days and the blog went by the wayside! Trying to remain calm and civil when inside you are on a knife edge. A few notable outbursts, firstly when the garage who were buying the Passat then turned up and tried to beat me down on the previously agreed price - a few passers by startled by how loudly I was venting whilst driving back from the car/cash rendevous point and secondly when Santander managed to not only stop a ligit payment I'd made using the internet but also fail to up hold the agreement that they would wire the funds to HSBC - I was using the local branch telephone and it was plain to all my unhappiness!

So D-Day itself? Apart from the slight loss of control in the local Santander branch and plenty of testy conversations between Susie and I, we were ready outside the house at 2.30pm, the Taxi arriving at 2.45pm, we were loaded and on the move at 3pm - clockwork! Criuse to Heathrow, wander to the checkin, straight through with our 5 suitcases, 5 flight bags, 2 laptops, 1 suitbag and 1 large pushchair! Very tiring as in amoungst this Darcy wanted a hug, i.e. to be picked up! Think I'll need a few months of massage to sort the damage out.
Driving from Mumbai Interantional Airport to the Hotel and it felt like we had never been away, those 5 weeks of packing, working , visas, stress and goodbyes melted away - we still miss everyone but it feels strangly homely here already.
Lovely swim in the apartment pool, which is more like a bath (temperature wise), the kids have coped really well, everyone wants to know their names and touch their hair and pinch their cheeks - pretty full on for them but I think they will have to get used to this.
Early night tonight as we had expected to fall asleep on the plane, with the lay flat beds, sadly not the case as we were either dealing with Max who was feeling sick or Darcy who kept falling of the bed.
Night all.
