Flight arrived 30 mins early, it then took 2 hours for the luggage to arrive on conveyor belt 3! No idea what they were doing with it all that time as its no exactly a big airport!
One thing that was interesting were the size and variety of electrical good that came onto the conveyor. So many 55 inch LED TVs, microwaves, deep fat fryers. I spoke to a local about it. The people go and work in Doha and then buy cheap electric goods and ship them home when they return. Not sure how well some of them will work after the not so gentle treatment some were receiving!
There was also an odd noise which I couldn't quite place, then I noticed boxes piled high in the ccorner contained hundreds of live chicks.
All the smells, sights and sounds of India but on a smaller scale, would be how I'd sum up Nepal on day 1
Straight into the hostel for lunch then onto icebreakers, medical assessments, talks by the Country Directors. Then dinner and then I finally get to go to bed having not slept since waking up st 6am 25/09!
