03/10/19 Risky fart

I feel ready for food today, the Magic Tea and total lack of food appears to have done the job and I am ready to eat.  We have porridge Oats with us so I have a little plain porridge to start the day.

By lunchtime (10.30am) I am ready for Dal Bhat once more.

Community assessments, host homes checks, Risk assessment (22 pages!) CASEVAC and MEDIVAC extraction points located, Community meetings all done in between many stops for Magic Tea (its now become my favorite drink) although a close second is Black tea with dried Lemongrass.  Got to the end of the day and realized that I hadn't stopped drinking tea early enough and readied myself for the likely 'Midnight wee'.

In this Host home the toilet was even further away, down very steep and slippery rocks....with fresh stories of Tiger AND Jackal attacks.  Having run the gauntlet over night I was shocked to see the state of one of the dogs who had been in a fight over night, no idea which with but I vowed to stop drinking tea earlier in the day to ensure no need for night visits to the toilet!

Aama picked up a bowl from the bamboo drainer, noticed it was a little wet still and used her boob to dry the inside.  Made me smile.

Festival prep in full swing, the arrival of a goat to our little Oasis of calm and many men of the Community all holding Machetes told me that the Goat's moments were numbered......
