17th January 2011 - Max's School sports

Was going to say Sports Day but this is a full on event with and hour long opening ceremony, with games spread over 4 days. The precursor to this is a month of heats so effectively the 4 days is a set of finals! Imagine a sports field about the size of a football ground inc seating, floodlit (started at 6pm) with PA, video, large screen and I've just noticed the Flame a la Olympics! Simultaneous races and awards all presided over by the same MC - very slick! Max was only in the opening ceremoney (Marching) and I now sat enduring 2 hours of running races, no idea where Max is but as I can't take him away we are here for the evening getting bitten to bits!
