30th January 2011 - Gandhi anniversary

It is the anniversary of Gandhi's death today, certainly much quieter out and about. The ads in the papers didn't go as overboard as I thought they would, one private energy company shamelessly using Gandhi's picture and one of his quotes to flog their electricity and the other was a Govt office. I guess most organisations have too much respect, or they feel that people would see through the gimmic. Which ever way you look at it, the monsoon based advertising beats Gandhi - sign of the times!
