21/10/19 Lama Guan to Borang

No snake attack overnight and a good nights sleep for once. I'd not been that well after eating the beef MOMO the previous day and the team kindly offered me one of the only beds available. So good to go to sleep at 9pm and to be woken by my alarm at 5.30am rather than having a restless night.
The trek today was more gentle, Mule train tracks for most of the way and then the last hour of arduous 'Nepali Up'. Nepali Up is Trek guide language for fcuking steep, think Mountain Goat territory and you are pretty close. Arrived at 1pm and straight into the Hostel for Dal Bhat.
Nice free afternoon, did a little washing, Catherine and I planned to wander up to the local village leaving the kids to their own devices. We made it about 100 yards, got chatting to a Nepali family, we asked them where we could get Masala Tea. They offered to make it for us whilst we popped next door to buy a pack of biscuits (Top of the World). Lovely cuppa, we watched the world go by sipping and nibbling our way through our free afternoon.
Back to the Hostel for a wash. I took the chance to wander down the road to the waterfall and found a small pool for a bath. Really cold but well worth it for maximum refreshment. As I climbed put of the pool there was a rush of people coming past, nothing like an audience to make you feel a little self concious!
A quick play with the Trek itinerary to make the most of our steep climb to Lapa Gaun tomorrow, hopefully the plan will work out well.
