30/11/19 Borang again

I stayed up for the first of my observations at 10pm and then woke for my Midnight observation shift, Catherine asleep next to Miles ready for hers at 2am and 4am. So great to wake Miles at 10pm and get the first glimpse of his character and humour returning. He really has been through the wars with this one and signs of a bounce back after the emergency planning of the day before were very welcome.
Midnight showed even more improvement. A trip to the toliet, head torches attached and Miles in boxers and Catherine's sarong was a funny image.

Up at 5.30am for a quick briefing with Catherine and a cheeky cup of Earl Grey (best leaving pressy ever!). The overnight progress was good and the worst was behind us.
Call from Raleigh at 7am - the group stays together, which is the best news. Another rest day in Borang, then later we'll have a new trek plan.

Pasta for lunch, ingredients sourced locally and a small payment to the hostel for the use of the fire for cooking. Alisha, one of our Nepali speakers and team members took the cooking lead.

I was a patient for the extra first aid training that the group wanted and we worked on the Skit we have to perform when we get back to RIMS for the change over on the 3rd.

Watched 2 parasites squirm out of a Preying Mantis, not pretty and the poor Mantis wasn't in good shape so all 3 were killed.

As a treat managed to stay up til 9pm before heading for bed.
